A taste of Italy

I planned this trip in three phases and Vienna marked the end of phase one. Phase two starts with a plane flight from Milan to Thessaloniki, Greece. I scored this flight for 8 euros on Ryan air! How could I say no?
It seemed to me that just about everyone I had spoken to about Milan had told me to skip it. But I must say I rather liked it. The first thing I did after finding my terribly seedy hostel next to the train station called Hostel Central Station, was head to the Duomo and eat hazelnut Gelato, which is still my favorite flavor. The hostel really was all right in the end, just a bit foreboding on approach. The Duomo in Milan is unbelievable. The whole cathedral is made out of candoglia Marble, and of course brick. It literally sparkles.

This is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. aka the mall to end/start all malls.
