Greece!

Getting from the airport to my hostel in Greece made me realize two things: 1, I hate when tag graffiti covers (and destroys) bus stop signs! And 2, I want to grow up to be a little old Greek lady. They are wonderful. despite their charade-esque advice I still had to take a taxi to get to my hostel, RentRooms Thessaloniki. It's always a lot easier getting out of town than it is getting in. the hostel was great, great location, great staff. Any hostel with big pillows gets a thumbs up from me.

Even though the trip in to Thessaloniki was pretty rocky, I had a great time there! I met an incredible Australian woman named Simone and she and I had a lovely dinner together in town. I wish I could remember all of the items on the menu, but I cannot. All i know is that I need to buy a greek recipe book when I get home. I think by the time I leave Greece I will be addicted to feta.
Another unusual thing that happened in Thessaloniki was that I met an Iranian man who found me quite curious, and insisted he read my tarot cards. Oh boy! I won't go into the details here, but I will say that he made one amazing joke. After suggesting that I ask a question about the future of my love life, and my adamant refusal, he shot back with 'well good because there isn't one with that haircut!'

Won me over right there.
