Directly after arriving to a beautiful sunny day in Amsterdam yesterday, I rented a bike. Red and ostentatious, I began my road tour with my new stallion and companion. Biking is especially fun when you have no where specific to go. I wouldn't go so far as to say I was lost, but each individual turn certainly made no difference. To tell you the truth I wasn't so much as 'looking' for my hostel as I was simply 'keeping an eye' out for it. Turned out to be quite hard to find in the end! Eventually I settled in, took a nap, then biked again from 4 to 8 pm. By that point it was time to get truly decaffeinated at a coffee shop.
Unfortunately today may not be as successful as yesterday was for one simple reason- rain!
Architecture tours are always subject to rain, and today is no different. Guess that means museums are on the menu. I went to the Rijks museum this morning. Maybe later I'll check out the Van Gogh museum? That or I could just veg out at another coffee shop with my book: Infinite Jest. Anyone read it?
